Coming from a family of artists, Ali Kabas' love of the visual arts and photography began at an early age. Coming from a family of artists, Ali Kabas' love of the visual arts and photography began at an early age. Although formally educated in science and business (he has a Bachelor of Science degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Columbia), photography proved to be his life's calling to which he brings considerable technical acumen both behind the camera and in understanding the needs of hi-tech and business clients such as Mechtronix, Microsoft, Momentum Engineering, American Express, Banco Santos, Deutche Bank, and the World Gold Council. Ali's stock photography is also used by numerous travel and educational publishers worldwide.

Based in Istanbul, Turkey, Ali is equally adept at both still photography and video. An expert in the latest digital technologies, he enjoys teaching photography and leading workshops for aspiring photographers.

Ali explores his artistic side through his fine art photography which has been featured in four single artist gallery exhibits in Istanbul and another in New York City.

When he's not in his studio, working on location or leading a workshop, he enjoys flying his paramotor - a paraglider with a small engine strapped to the pilot's back. Ali is also an avid scuba diver. Naturally then, aerial and underwater photography round out his impressive photographic skill set.
